CHED RO XI is delighted to announce the start of the grand festivities commemorating the 30th CHED Anniversary and the 4th Higher Education Week, with a theme “Transformative and Resilient Philippine Higher Education.” The celebrations commenced with a joyous and inspiring ceremony hosted at the University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP) Obrero Campus.
The kick-off ceremony witnessed a warm welcome extended by Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales Jr., President of the host institution, setting the tone for an engaging and uplifting event. An inspiring video message from CHED Chairman J. Prospero E. De Vera III added to the significance of the occasion as he emphasized the importance of higher education in shaping the nation’s future.
Dr. Maricar R. Casquejo, Regional Director of CHED RO XI, then officially inaugurated the National Higher Education Week, marking the beginning of a week-long celebration dedicated to acknowledging the transformative impact of higher education on society. This declaration symbolizes CHED RO XI’s commitment to promoting excellence, innovation, and inclusivity in higher education across the region.
The culmination of the ceremony was marked by a joyous community dance, symbolizing unity and collaboration, followed by a delightful fellowship where CHED RO XI personnel and participants shared moments of camaraderie and celebration.
The event was participated by more than 500 faculty and students from over 58 HEIs in Davao region.
