The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office (CHED RO XI), along with other CHED Regional Offices, participated in the planning and orientation workshop spearheaded by the CHED International Affairs Service from February 3 to 6, 2025, at Twin Lakes Hotel, Tagaytay.
The workshop provided an avenue for the Internationalization Focals and Transnational Higher Education (TNHE) Officers to chart a path toward internationalization and TNHE by proposing developmental activities, ensuring it adequately address the Commission’s Strategic Pillar as outlined in the CHED Strategic Plan 2023-2028. It was facilitated by Dr. Myrna Mallari and Dr. Allan Cajes, resource persons from the National Review Committee on CHED-funded Internationalization Programs (iNRC)
The said activity was attended by Dr. Evelyn S. Ecle, ES II – Internationalization Focal, and Mr. Jay-ar Ahon, PTS III – TNHE Officer, who presented CHED RO XI’s accomplishments such as the launching of its iBRIDGE Program; established the International Relation Officers Network XI (IRON XI) as part of its commitment to fostering internationalization in the Region; and the IZN Scooping survey and its proposed activities for 2025.
Meanwhile, Atty. Lily Freida M. Milla, CESO III, Director, CHED International Affairs Service, highlighted the significance of strengthening and expanding internationalization in Philippine higher education to foster quality and excellence, equity, and inclusivity.
