The Commission on Higher Education Region XI, Regional Director, Dr. Maricar R. Casquejo, the Chairperson for the Socio-cultural Education (SCE) Cluster, together with the IZN Focal, Dr. Evelyn S. Ecle, attended the pre-Strategic Planning Meeting at St. Giles Hotel Makati on February 11-12, 2025, in preparation for the actual 2025 BIMP-EAGA Strategic Planning scheduled on February 17-21, 2025 in Cagayan De Oro City.
The activity aims to consolidate inputs and finalize the country’s positions, priorities and action plans. This is also to ensure effective planning and implementation of its projects, which are pivotal in aligning sector strategies with the subregion’s overarching goals.
The said pre-planning was also attended by different clusters and working group such as Transportation Cluster, ICT Cluster, Agri-business Cluster, Tourism, Socio-cultural Education, among others. The activity was spearheaded by Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) with Dr. Rodrigo Giducos, the Regional Director for MinDA Investments Promotion and Public Affairs Office with USec Janet M. Lopoz, MinDA Executive Director. It was graced by Hon. Leo Tereso A. Magno, the MinDA Secretary.
