CHED RO XI Conducts COPC Evaluation of BS Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering Program at SPAMAST

Malita, Davao Occidental – On June [insert date], 2025, the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI) conducted an ocular visit and evaluation at the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) in relation to its application for a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) for the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering (BSABE) program.

The evaluation was led by CHED Education Supervisor Dr. Ma. Christina B. Condez, together with Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) member Dr. Joie D. Cataytay. The visit aimed to assess the program’s alignment with CHED’s minimum standards and requirements, including curriculum design, instructional resources, faculty qualifications, laboratories and facilities, research and extension activities, and student services.

The evaluation team was warmly welcomed by SPAMAST officials and staff, led by Dr. Lynneth Bontia. She shared that the institution is ready and committed to offering quality education in agriculture and biosystems engineering to help meet the region’s need for skilled professionals in the field.
