The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office XI led by Regional Director Maricar R. Casquejo, Ph.D., CESO III in collaboration with the Association of Registrars of Schools, Colleges, Universities-Technical Vocational Training Institution, Inc. XI (ARSCU-TVTI XI) recently conducted the “Higher Education Institutions (HEI) Registrars’ Conference 2025” last June 20, 2025 at the Social Hall, University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP), Obrero, Davao City. The objective of the conference materialized into fruitful discussions and gained learnings on the strategic directions concerning Registrars aligning with CHED Strategic Plan 2024-2028 and addressing various issues and concerns in the implementation of CHED policies, programs and services.

The conference served as a platform for registrars across Region XI to engage in meaningful discussions and gain strategic insights aligned with the CHED Strategic Plan 2024–2028. Key topics addressed included updates on CHED policies, programs, and services, as well as pressing concerns faced by registrars in their day-to-day operations.

Through collaborative dialogue and knowledge-sharing, the conference highlighted the evolving role of registrars—not just as administrative personnel but as critical contributors to higher education transformation. From a traditionally transactional function, registrars are now being recognized as strategic partners in ensuring academic integrity, policy compliance, and institutional effectiveness.

As the event concluded, participants left with renewed commitment, equipped with actionable takeaways and a shared vision of fostering innovation and excellence in the delivery of registrar services across the region.
