CODPHCJE XI Finalizes MOA on Mandatory Drug Testing for Practicum Students

The Council of Deans and Program Heads for Criminal Justice Education Region XI (CODPHCJE XI), led by Dr. Hipolito Quillip Jr., conducted a regional meeting at ACES Polytechnic College, Panabo City, Davao del Norte. The primary agenda of the meeting was the finalization of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the implementation of the Mandatory Drug Testing requirement for practicum students enrolled in Criminal Justice programs across the Davao Region.

In addition, the meeting highlighted the alignment of Physical Education subjects required in the Criminal Justice programs with the Physical Activity Towards Health and Fitness (PATHFIT) program mandated by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Updates on planned regional activities and other implementation matters were also discussed. The meeting was attended by officers of CODPHCJE XI and CHED Regional Office XI adviser Dr. Maria Christina B. Condez, who provided valuable guidance and support.

Participants were warmly welcomed by ACES Polytechnic College President Dr. Francisco P. Dela Peña Jr., Criminology Dean Dr. Reggie Latog, and the faculty members of the Criminology program, showing strong institutional support for the initiatives of CODPHCJE XI.

The meeting reflects the council’s commitment to advancing student welfare, academic integrity, and collaboration among higher education institutions offering criminal justice education in the region.
