CHED RO XI Reaffirms Commitment at RTESDC XI 2nd Quarter Meeting and Ceremonies

Davao City- The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI) strengthened its commitment to advancing technical education and workforce development during the 2nd Quarter Meeting of the Regional Technical Education and Skills Development Committee (RTESDC) XI held on July 4, 2025, at San Josue Resort, Davao City.
Spearheaded by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) XI and supported by partner government agencies, industry leaders, and academic institutions, the meeting served as a critical platform for collaboration and decision-making to elevate skills development initiatives across Region XI.
Among the major highlights of the meeting was the approval of key TESDC policy recommendations and committee resolutions geared toward improving regional technical education strategies. Notably, the committee endorsed new competency standards, including Clay Brick Making for Davao Occidental, aimed at enhancing the relevance of training programs to local economic opportunities.
The presentation of the Implementing Guidelines for Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Programs further underscored the region’s focus on aligning technical education with real-world industry demands. Participants also reviewed and adopted action items that will drive forward initiatives for strengthened industry-academe linkages, inclusive workforce development, and regionally responsive training.
A significant moment in the gathering was the ceremonial Oath-Taking of New RTESDC Members and a heartfelt Send-Off Ceremony for outgoing members, who were recognized for their invaluable contributions to the committee’s mission and regional development efforts.
