CHED Opens 2025 ASEAN Month: A Unified Celebration Across the Commission
The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI) joins the commencement of the 2025 ASEAN Month Celebration on August 4, 2025, through a kick-off ceremony spearheaded by the CHED International Affairs Service.
The kick-off ceremony featured insightful messages from various guest speakers, including Mr. Bolivar L. Bao from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Christelle Agustin from SEAMEO RIHED, and H.E. San Lwin, Deputy Secretary-General for the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (online).
Meanwhile, CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis in her message emphasized the importance of regional cooperation as a vital force in strengthening shared commitments to mutual support across various aspects of human development.
This echoes the theme of this year’s celebration, “BUWAN NG ASEAN: Sama-Sama sa Pag-unlad,” which highlights the shared dedication to regional solidarity and progress.
