CHED RO XI Culminates Civil Service Anniversary Celebration Through PhilHealth YAKAP Caravan
In celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI) culminated its month-long observance by actively participating in the PhilHealth Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) Caravan in partnership with accredited service provider Medisense Lab Davao on September 30, 2025 at the CHED RO XI Function Hall.
The caravan highlighted PhilHealth’s mission of bringing essential healthcare services closer to the community, particularly government employees and their families. The event opened with an orientation on the Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP), which provided participants with a deeper understanding of the benefits, objectives, and impact of the initiative. PhilHealth representatives also facilitated new member registrations and assisted with updating existing member records, ensuring that employees and their dependents remain active and properly covered under the national health insurance program.
A key feature of the caravan was the first patient encounter facilitated by Medisense Lab Davao, which included registration to the YAKAP program, consultations with licensed medical doctors, diagnostic and laboratory testing, and the distribution of prescribed medicines. This comprehensive health service provided CHED RO XI personnel and their family members with convenient access to medical care within the workplace.
Through this initiative, CHED RO XI reaffirmed its dedication to promoting health and wellness as vital components of public service.
