CHED RO XI Recognized as Awardee during DOT XI Tourism Industry Gathering

Davao City— The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI) was recognized as one of the awardees during the Department of Tourism Region XI (DOT XI) Tourism Industry Gathering and Recognition of Stakeholders, held on January 22, 2026, at the Grand Regal Hotel, Davao City.

The event brought together key partners from the public and private sectors to celebrate strong collaboration and a shared commitment to the development and recovery of the tourism industry in the region. It served as a platform to acknowledge institutions and individuals who have significantly contributed to advancing tourism initiatives.

Representing CHED RO XI, Dr. Leomar Jay R. Oblianda, Education Supervisor II, received the award on behalf of the office. The recognition was formally conferred by DOT XI Regional Director Tanya Rabat-Tan.

During the activity, DOT XI awarded certificates of recognition to partner local government units, national government agencies, industry trainers, sponsors, and outstanding performers from the 1st Philippine Tourism Awards, Tourism Champions Challenge 2024, and ATOP Awards. These recognitions highlighted the collective efforts of stakeholders in promoting innovation, excellence, and resilience in the tourism sector.
