Davao City— The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI) actively participated in the TESDA XI Regional TVET Forum and New Year’s Call held on February 2, 2026, at the Regional Training Center – Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC–KPVTC) in Buhisan, Tibungco, Davao City.
Representing CHED RO XI, Engr. Rodrigo S. Pangantihon Jr., Education Supervisor II, served as a Resource Person during the activity. He delivered a presentation titled “Philippine Credit Transfer System (PCTS) in relation to the ASEAN Qualifications Framework (AQF): Recognizing Convergence for Seamless Education.” His discussion highlighted key strategies on credit transfer, qualifications alignment, and the strengthening of linkages between higher education and technical-vocational education and training (TVET).
The forum gathered stakeholders from government agencies, training institutions, and industry partners, providing a platform for collaboration and dialogue on enhancing the quality and relevance of TVET programs in the region. It also emphasized the importance of aligning national frameworks with regional standards to support workforce mobility and global competitiveness.
