CHED RO XI Participates in RDC XI 1st Quarter Full Council Meeting

Davao City— The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI), headed by Regional Director Dr. Maricar R. Casquejo, participated in the CY 2026 First Quarter Full Council Meeting of the Regional Development Council (RDC) XI held on March 5, 2026, at the DEPDev–RDC XI Center in Bangkal, Davao City.

The meeting convened key regional stakeholders and council members to discuss priority development concerns and align strategies for the continued growth of the Davao Region. Among the key agenda items were the status of FY 2026 RDC XI-endorsed budget proposals, updates on regional budget trends, and the endorsement of FY 2027 budget proposals of national government agencies (NGAs), government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs), and state universities and colleges (SUCs).

The council also deliberated on the proposed re-establishment of the Regional Land Use Committee (RLUC) XI, as well as the selection of regional representatives for the Filipinnovation Awards 2026, highlighting the region’s commitment to innovation and sustainable development.

CHED RO XI’s participation underscores its active role in regional planning and policy development, ensuring that higher education priorities are integrated into broader development frameworks. Through its engagement in RDC XI, CHED continues to contribute to evidence-based decision-making and the advancement of inclusive, sustainable, and innovation-driven growth in the Davao Region.
