CHED RO XI–UniFAST Pays Courtesy Call to DSWD Davao Region on Project PEPA Initiatives
Davao City — The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI), through Regional Director Dr. Maricar R. Casquejo, CESO III, paid a courtesy call to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Davao Region on April 21, 2026, to strengthen inter-agency collaboration on the implementation of Project PEPA (Patuloy na Edukasyon, Patuloy na Pag-Ahon).
The courtesy call was held at the DSWD Davao Region Office and was led by Regional Director Casquejo, who met with DSWD Davao Regional Director Rhuelo Dalilis Aradanas. The engagement provided an avenue for both agencies to discuss opportunities for closer coordination and alignment of efforts in supporting beneficiaries through education-related initiatives.
A key focus of the discussion was the strengthening of collaborative mechanisms to ensure that qualified beneficiaries are provided with appropriate educational assistance and opportunities. Through Project PEPA, partner agencies seek to help beneficiaries pursue and sustain their education as a pathway toward improved opportunities, empowerment, and long-term social and economic well-being.
The engagement highlighted the shared commitment of CHED RO XI and DSWD Davao Region to maximize existing programs and resources through coordinated implementation and stronger referral and support mechanisms. The collaboration also underscores the importance of convergence among government agencies in addressing barriers to education and ensuring that assistance reaches those who need it most.
