Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Assistant Regional Director Dr. Delia Ayano commended the Commission of Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI) for its accomplishments in support to the iSTRIKE Davao Strategic Plan/Action Plan 2021-2025 during the iSTRIKE Davao Regional Inclusive Innovation Centers (RIIC) Alignment Meeting held last January 28, 2022 via Zoom.

Dr. Randy A. Tudy,  CHED RO XI Education Supervisor II, delivered a presentation on the Office’s accomplishments such as (1) the Launching and Operationalization of the REDI for FIRe Framework, (2) Establishment of Research Coordinators in Region XI, (3) Assistance to Research Fundings, (4) Assistance on Institutional Development and Innovation Grant to SUCs, and (5) Collaboration and Networking with other Agencies.

In her response, Dr. Ayano highlighted CHED RO XI’s efforts in involving the higher education institutions and other agencies to promote innovation in the region.

“If we group together, we really heighten the activities because we believe that in trying to have the projects, programs and activities, as one of our strategies contained in our action plan, the people, the constituents, will be aware that we have these initiatives in relation to innovation”, she said.
