145 Focal Persons on Local and International Internships, Educational Field trips/Tours, and other Off-campus Activities from the different Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Davao Region participated in the Orientation on the various policies and guidelines on various programs on student internship abroad and international educational trips on June 14, 2024 at the Cagliari Hall – University of Mindanao Campus, Matina, Davao City.
Participants were officially welcomed by Engr. Luis D. Perez, Ph. D, Chief Education Program Specialist while Dr. Evelyn S. Ecle, Education Supervisor II and Focal Person on Internationalization delivered the rationale of the program where she emphasized the importance of the effective implementation of the program towards Internationalization.
As evidenced by the active participation of the HEI Focal Persons during the open forum portion, it is sufficient to say that the presentation of CMO No. 63 s. 2017, โPolicies and Guidelines on Local Off-Campus Activitiesโ(LOCA)ย , CMO No. 26 s. 2015, โPolicies, Guidelines and Procedures on International Educational Trips (IET) of Undergraduate and Graduate Studentsโ, CMO No. 104 s. 2017, โRevised Guidelines for Student Internship Program in the Philippines (SIPP) for All Programsโ, and CMO No. 10, series of 2023, โEnhanced Policies, Standards and Guidelines (PSGs) on Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP)โ was a success. To encapsulate the whole day activity, โwe are at the doorstep towards better and more informed implementation of Internationalizationโ, Engr. Maria Christina B. Condez, Focal Person on Local Off-Campus Activities, International Educational Trips, Student Internship Program (SIPP), and Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) during her presentation of the CMOs on policies, standards and guidelines of the various programs on Student Services.
