The Commission on Higher Education Region XI (CHEDRO XI) participates in the P-EAGA Cluster Convergence and Action Planning as the Chair for the Socio-cultural and Education Pillar. This event aims to enhance regional cooperation and development in the agriculture, tourism, environment, socio-cultural education, and youth sectors.

In addition, the Mindanao Development Authority organized this activity to enhance economic cooperation, promote sports development, and advance BIMP-EAGA culture, arts, and heritage through various performances and exhibitions.

 

This activity was also participated in by Dr. Evelyn C. Ecle, Education Supervisor II and the focal for CHED RO XI Internationalization Programs, on July 9–10, 2024, at the Hue Hotel, Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

 

Meanwhile, one of the highlights of the said activity is the upcoming BIMP Friendship Games spearheaded by the Philippines Sports Commission together with the National Youth Commission, which will happen in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, on December 1–5, 2024.

According to reports, nearly 2000 youth delegates from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and North Australia are expected to compete in various games.

The meeting concluded with a presentation and updates on the several action plans aimed at achieving the goals set by each cluster.
