Davao City via Zoom – In preparation for the 2nd Regional Industry-Government-Academe Forum on Curriculum Review for Criminal Justice Programs, the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI), the Council of Deans and Program Heads for Criminal Justice Education Region XI (CODPHCJE XI), and the University of Mindanao – College of Criminal Justice Education (UM-CCJE) convened a virtual coordination meeting to finalize arrangements for the event.

Scheduled for August 14, 2025, and hosted by the University of Mindanao, the forum will bring together stakeholders from the criminal justice education sector, government agencies, and industry partners. It aims to assess and align the curricula of Criminology, Forensic Science, and Industrial Security Management programs with current workforce needs, national government priorities, and CHED’s policies and standards.

This initiative reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that criminal justice education remains relevant, outcomes-based, and responsive to both regional and national development goals.

The upcoming forum is expected to generate actionable insights and recommendations for academic institutions, promote stronger cross-sector collaboration, and enhance the overall quality of instruction and graduate employability within the field of criminal justice.

CHED RO XI remains committed to fostering partnerships with higher education institutions and professional bodies in pursuit of evidence-based reforms and continuous innovation in higher education delivery.
