Desiderio Apag III and Higher Education Management Information System (HEMIS) Staff Ms. Marianne Avergonzado, in their visit for a two-day Benchmarking Activity on the digitization and automation of CHED services on January 26-27, 2022.

During the two-day Benchmarking Activity, CHEDRO XI Education Supervisors, Engr. Ma. Christina Condez and Engr. Rodrigo Pangantihon, shared the best practices of CHEDRO XI on digitization and automation of CHED services to give them valuable insights on the processes and strategies that the Office has undergone since 2019 for digital transformation.

CHEDRO X Team toured around the CHEDRO XI building and facilities and had hands-on experience with the Office’s services.

In her message, Regional Director Dr. Casquejo expressed her support for CHEDRO X’s thrust for digital transformation. She gave a presentation of CHEDRO XI’s journey on embracing the Fourth Industrial Revolution (FIRe) and the Resilience in Education through Development and Innovations (REDI) for FIRe Framework that improved the agency’s effectiveness and efficiency of public service delivery, increased client satisfaction, and achieved more than the agency’s targets even amid the disruptions of the COVID-19 crisis.

Dr. Casquejo underscored that it takes political will and novel partnerships with different government agencies, industry partners, and higher education institutions to successfully adapt and pivot in the emerging industrial revolution. “CHEDRO XI has successfully established platforms and adopted digital. Hence, we are now leading digital”, she said.

Regional Director Dr. Bernal thanked the CHEDRO XI Team for the time and opportunity afforded to them to learn and understand the processes and strategies that CHEDRO XI employed for internal transformation.
