Davao City – In a significant step toward modernizing the processing of scholastic documents, key Administrative and Technical personnel from the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI), led by Regional Director Dr. Maricar R. Casquejo, CESO III, met with Dr. Allan G. Farnazo, CESO IV, Regional Director of the Department of Education Region XI (DepEd XI), for a high-level coordinative meeting on August 5, 2025, at the DepEd RXI Office, Jacinto Extension, Corner F. Torres St., Bajada, Davao City.
The meeting focused on strengthening the implementation and interoperability of CHED’s automated systems—specifically, the Electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification (E-CAV) system and the Special Order Application and Issuance System (SOAIS). These platforms aim to significantly streamline the application and validation processes of academic records.
Officials and technical personnel from both agencies discussed strategies to optimize these digital systems to deliver faster, more accurate, and more transparent document services. This is particularly crucial for individuals seeking employment or career advancement, who rely on timely access to validated academic records.
This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of CHED and DepEd to harness technology in transforming public service delivery within the education sector. By embracing digital solutions, both institutions seek to reduce processing time, eliminate bureaucratic delays, and improve overall client satisfaction.
As the education landscape evolves to meet the demands of the digital era, initiatives like this joint meeting represent a critical move toward a more responsive, integrated, and efficient academic bureaucracy—one that is better equipped to serve students, graduates, and other education stakeholders.
