The Council of Deans for Information Technology Education XI (CDITE XI) has conducted a hybrid meeting at Malayan Colleges Mindanao (MCM), Davao City, graced by RD Maricar R. Casquejo, CESO III, who discussed some inputs and directions focusing on operationalization of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (FIRe) Framework. It can be recalled that the Resilience in Education Through Development and Innovations or (REDI) for FIRe Framework Towards FIRe-Responsive and Prepared Human Capital was launched last January 14, 2022.
Among the challenges and directions discussed by RD Casquejo are FIRe-proofing of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), specific contributions of CDITE XI and PSITE XI on the implementation of FIRe Framework such as, possibility of making capstone projects / thesis with application on SMART agriculture, coming up with compendium on FIRe-related researches, submitting a collaborative project proposal to CHED for potential funding, and assistance to CHED RO XI in its transformation towards SMART office.
CDITE XI was also able to do benchmarking activity at MCM which is now offering hybrid flexible (or HyFlex) course format, which combines limited face-to-face and online learning. Present in the meeting are Engr. Rodrigo S. Pangantihon Jr., Education Supervisor II for ITE and CDITE XI Adviser, Dr. Ramcis Vilchez, CDITE XI President, Dr. Randy S. Gamboa, CDITE XI Adviser, and other CDITE XI Officers who are attending via Zoom Videoconferencing.
