The Council of Deans and Program Heads for Criminal Justice Education Region XI (CODPHCJE XI) organized a two-day Trainers’ Training on Educational Technologies for Criminology and Forensic Science of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Davao Region on May 25-26,2022 at the University of Mindanao, Davao City.
This activity was in coordination with the CHED Regional Office XI and the University of Mindanao and in partnership with the University of the Cordilleras.
During the two-day workshop, 117 Faculty members from 24 Criminology and Forensic Science HEIs underwent an extensive training on the use of the forensic educational web-based platform and applications.
The Research and Development (R&D) Project team, headed by the Director of Institute for Innovative Learning and International Cooperation in the University of the Cordilleras Dr. Christian T. Pascual, conducted the first-ever Forensic Hub trainer’s training in the Region as part of the realization of a CHED-funded R&D project which aims to develop and disseminate forensic science educational software tools that are responsive to the needs of Filipino learners.
The collaborating HEIs in the project are the University of the Cordilleras (lead HEI), Ifugao State University, and Tarlac State University.
