To celebrate the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED’s) 30th anniversary and the 4th National Higher Education, the Commission holds the National Award Ceremony for the 2024 Philippine Anti-illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS) for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the country on Friday, May 17, 2024 at CHED Central Office, Auditorium.

Ateneo de Davao University rose to the top as the first placer, who bested on 34 National Finalist.

Moreover, other HEI like Mapua Malayan Colleges Mindanao and St. Peter’s College of Toril were also given recognition as National Finalist.

RD Maricar R. Casquejo and Dr. Lourdes D. Cesar. Education Supervisor II and PADS Focal Person were also awarded a Certificate of Commendation for the region’s active participation in and implementation of Drug Education and Prevention plans, programs, and projects.

This is activity is in relation to the due to Executive Order 066 of 2018, known as Institutionalizing the Philippine Anti-illegal Drugs Strategy, in support of RA 9165 for the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

Previously, Ateneo de Davao University has won this award in 2022.
