CHED RO XI, in cooperation with Lyceum of the Philippines – Davao, kicks off the implementation of the regionally-conceived CHED XI RankEd Program: Empowering HEIs Through Quality Management Systems (Series 1 – Mind Setting towards Institutional and Program Accreditations, and International Recognitions) on December 11, 2023 at the Freedom Hall, Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) -Davao, Davao City.
The CHED RO XI RankEd Program takes into consideration the Commission’s Strategic Plan 2023-2028’s strategies of providing capacity-building training to HEI administrators and key personnel, and engaging in partnerships with vital stakeholders; and, promote the provision and sustenance of Quality and Excellence in Davao Region HEIs.
The program intends for HEIs to appreciate the benefits of Institutional and Program Accreditations, and International Recognitions, such as the ISO: 21001 Management Systems for Educational Organizations, Institutional Sustainability Assessment (ISA), ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA), and International Rankings, to the HEIs and for the higher education (HE) sector in Davao Region.
The event was attended by the HEI Presidents, VP Academic Affairs, IQA and Internationalization focals. It was an excellent opportunity for the HEI officials to network, engage, collaborate, and exchange knowledge (NECK) with other staunch local and international experts and supporters of the Philippine HE sector’s QA systems.
Philippine Quality Management trailblazers Engr. Angelica C. Fraginal of ACF Consultancy Services, Dr. Felipe G Balingit, Jr. of LPU-Davao, Dr. Ronnie V. Amorado of the University of Mindanao, Dr. Jo-Ann Y. Solomon of the University of the Immaculate Conception, and Ms. Fatima Jennae B. Jereza of Ateneo de Davao University shared to the participants their journey and experiences towards Institutional and Program Accreditations, and International Recognitions.
The event was graced by CHED RO XI Director Maricar R. Casquejo, CESO III, and Dr. Luis D. Perez, who gave their respective messages to the participants.
The participants are already eager to be a part of the Program’s Series 2, which shall focus on Building the Prerequisites of Local Accrediting Agencies.
