Davao City hosted this year’s 23rd Philippine Council of Deans and Educators in Business (PCDEB) Annual National Conference (ANC) with the theme “Embracing Educational Transformation Ecosystem in Reshaping the Modern Business Education.” The Conference was conducted in cooperation with the Rizal Memorial Colleges Inc., (RMC) Davao City, Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) Manila, University of Southeastern Philippines, (USeP) Davao City, and Jose Rizal Memorial State University, (JRMSU) Dapitan City, at the Grand Menseng Hotel on April 24-26, 2024.

The activity intends to enhance business education standards and serve as the premier national meeting for school officials, deans, business educators, and industry partners. It will provide a platform for participants to gain fresh insights into integrating technology in education, particularly in business education.

The event highlighted presentations by Dr. Christopher Pio O. Pulido of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI, Ms. Rosana Calingin of PMAP Davao, Ms. Belinda Torres of Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc., Dr. Erwin Faller of San Pedro College, Dr. Conrado E. Inigo, Jr. of the University of the Visayas, and Hon. Pilar Braga of the Davao City Council. International speakers Prof. Hoang Van Cuong of Vietnam’s Saigon Business Schools and Dr. Sook Fern of Malaysia’s Research and International Collaboration Multimedia University Melaca Malaysia also presented.

Awarding Ceremonies were observed for the Philippine Academy of Professionals in Business Education; Outstanding CEOs President Dr. Guillermo P. Torres, Jr. of the University of Mindanao and Herminia S. Polintan of the Hemintan Cor. – Oishi; and Service Awards for PCDEB Members. PCDEB Past Presidents and loyal members also graced the event.

The Conference was a great success, with over 350 participants from various Business and Management HEIs in the country. This is the highest number of registered participants ever in the history of PCDEB’s ANC.
