To celebrate the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED’s) 30th anniversary and the 4th National Higher Education Week, the CHED RO XI holds the regional award ceremony for the 2024 Philippine Anti-illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS) for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the country on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Ritz Hotel at Garden Oases Davao.

Ateneo de Davao University rose to the top as the first-place winner, followed by Mapua Malayan Colleges Mindanao as the second-place winner and St. Peter’s College of Toril as the third-place winner.

The CHED RO XI also acknowledges some HEIs implementing the Executive Order 66 series in 2018. These include the University of the Immaculate Concepcion, the University of Mindanao, and the Holy Child College of Davao.

This activity is in line with Executive Order 066 of 2018, known as Institutionalizing the Philippine Anti-illegal Drugs Strategy, supporting RA 9165 for the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. 

Furthermore, the top three winners in the region will be competing at the national level.
