The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office XI, in partnership with the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) as the Philippine Coordinating Office for BIMP-EAGA (PCOBE), and the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) Main Campus, conducts a Final Meeting on Harmonization and Adoption of Terms of Reference (TOR) and Ways Forward Discussion.
Moreover, it aims to gather Mindanao and Palawan SUCs/private HEIs to form the Philippine EAGA Higher Education Institutions Consortium (PEHEIC) and finalize and adopt the PEHEIC Terms of Reference (TOR).
In addition, this meeting was initiated to discuss the proposed Mindanao visit of Konsortium Universiti Universitas Borneo (KUUB) and partnership with PEHEIC, and discuss the next steps and ways forward for PEHEIN as a Philippine commitment to the proposed BIMP-EAGA HEI Network (HEINet).
Consequently, the meeting follows the recent PEHEIN technical meeting on April 19, 2024. Officials from the International Relations Officer (IRO) representative to the PEHEIC also attended this activity.
Furthermore, the meeting was held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the University of Southern Mindanao (USM), Kabacan, North Cotabato, Region XI
