CHED RO XI and CJC Conduct Preliminary Meeting on Davao Region Digital Transformation Study

Digos City- The CHED Regional Office XI team, led by Regional Director Dr. Maricar R. Casquejo, held a preliminary coordination meeting with Cor Jesu College (CJC) on July 11, 2025 at Digos City. The meeting aimed to align project expectations, deliverables, and timelines for the regional study titled “Baseline Data Towards Digital Transformation (DX) of Private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) in the Davao Region.” A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) will be drafted to formalize the partnership.

This initiative is an extension of the recently concluded study “Baseline Data Towards Digital Transformation of Higher Education Institutions: Mindanao SUCs,” which utilized a validated DX Self-Assessment Instrument. The upcoming study will replicate this methodology to gather data from private HEIs and LUCs in the region, enabling the generation of comprehensive and comparative insights to guide policy formulation and institutional support strategies.

It may be recalled that an orientation-workshop on the use of the DX assessment tool was previously conducted at Mergrande Ocean Resort, Davao City in 2024. Following the workshop, the tool was deployed online to participating institutions as part of the initial data-gathering phase.
