As an opportunity to share the context of internationalization in higher education, the Davao Association of Catholic Schools, Inc. (DACS) initiated the Professional Teachers, Researchers, Higher Education Summit.
The conducted activity is supported by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI) with its theme:“Navigating Higher Education Trends on Formation, Artificial Intelligence, and Internationalization.”
Dr. Evelyn S. Ecle, the Focal for Internationalization, presented the salient features, particularly the salient points of CMO No. 55 S. 2016 or the Policy Framework of Phil. Higher Education and the CMO No. 62 S. 2016 on Transnational Higher Education.
Furthermore, the event was graced by distinguished Heads of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) as resource speakers, such as Fr. Karel San Juan, DJ, President of ADDU; Dr. Bonifacio Gabales, Jr., President of USEP; Prof. Vicente Pijano III, Chancellor of PWC; Fr. Jessel Gerard M. Gonzales, SJ, Director of the Ignatian Spirituality and Formation Institute of ADDU; and Dr. Dave E. Marcial, Executive Director of the Asian University Digital Resource Network.
The summit was held at the Grand Menseng Hotel, Davao City, on June 28–29, 2024.
